If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem”
Partnership Brings Change (P.B.C.) is a program aimed at reducing the youth violence within the borders of the 17th district. The program targets juveniles between the ages of ten(10) and seventeen(17) years of age that are displaying “at-risk” behavior. “At- Risk” being a first time arrest, a referral from a concerned parent/ guardian, or something as minor as frequent truant and curfew violations. This program will make an effort to change the troublesome direction in which a juvenile is traveling. We will attempt to provide a more hands on approach when interacting with juveniles. Partnership Brings Change will attempt to unite families, the community, the police, the judicial system, schools, businesses, and clergy. Our ultimate goal is to become one working entity. Together we will make a collective effort at helping the juveniles and the families. Partnership Brings Change will attempt to provide, when needed, referrals to an assortment of programs. These programs will include but are not limited to: After school programs, G.E.D. instruction, Violence reduction, Life Skills Education, Anger Management, Conflict resolution, Job training, Teen/ Parent classes, and employment opportunities.
